What We Women Want

I really don't think that is what we want. As a Nutritionist, Herbalist, and Naturopath who specializes in disease recovery and weight loss, I find very few of my clients actually want to lose weight. In fact, only 1 person has ever approached me to lose weight. Here's what I see people want: Play with their kids and grand kids Open their closets and enjoy wearing clothes Sleep at night without the fear of a blood sugar drop or heart attack Just sleep at night and be energetic during the day Do what they want to do, when they want to do it - without pain Weight loss is one part of the equation and to lose weight you need your ducks all lined up: nutrition, diet, lifestyle, exercise, mental readiness,

emotional readiness, and support to keep on track. You just can't pick affirmations and expect to lose weight. You can't just cut out carbs and expect to lose weight. I've been there. Ten years ago, I was over 200 pounds. I lost over 60 pounds. I go up a little here and there, then lose it again. It is not easy to lose weight. It's a never ending battle to stay a healthy weight. But the results are worth it. I wanted to be healthy, fit into the nice clothes, and avoid being on medication for the rest of my life (I brought down my cholesterol from 333 to 187!) When you are ready, get to know your unique metabolism. The foods we eat slow our metabolism and cause us to gain weight. Knowing what your body needs is key to providing yourself the exact nutrients to give great energy and muscle tone. It is not deficient nor is anything in excess. It's why I love to teach nutrition and metabolism, everyone is truly unique and needs unique a unique diet. My reward is people losing weight quickly, easily, and are able to keep it off for good. Choose these tips: Eat right for your metabolism - vegetarianism doesn't work unless your body can handle it (mine couldn't, which is why my cholesterol was 333 when I was a vegetarian, but 187 when I eat red meat and butter) Exercise daily with something fun. Choose healthy fats often It doesn't take much to be healthy. It's a choice. You need to want to be healthy and work at it every day.
