Five Tips to Help You Choose Your Bridal Party

After all the logistics have taken place: the proposal, setting the date, picking a venue, and deciding some of the smaller - yet extremely important - details such as your color scheme, it is time to select your bridal party. How can you choose? This can be one of the toughest tasks while planning your wedding day - there seem to be so many options. What is a girl to do when she has three sisters, seventeen best friends, fifty cousins, and a boatload of girl friends? A handful of our very best tips have been compiled just for this specific dilemma. Good luck!

1) While starting to plan your big day - maybe even the biggest - keep in mind the number you want to fill. Sit down with your husband-to-be and talk about each of your options, Who would you both like to have front row tickets to your wedding, to be your support system throughout the lengthy process, and who is going to be willing to push all else aside and be there for every step of this roller coaster ride? Settle on a number. You can have two pairs, you can have twenty pairs, it is always all about what fits you and your big day.

2) After agreeing on a good number fitted to your plans, think about who you want to play such a big role on your special day. Don't pick people you feel obligated to pick, instead select those who are truly special to you and have already been by your side for most of your journey.

3) Also consider who wants to play such a big role in turn. Select those who are able to make the big commitment, who will only ease the journey, and who want to help you maintain your sanity. It's important that you not only select people you want to be there every step of the way, but also they want to be there as well.

4) Another factor to take into account is who is still going to be around to celebrate your twenty-fifth wedding anniversary? While choosing the lucky few who are going to be such an essential part of your happy event, remember to surround yourself with those who have been by your side and are going to continue to be. When you look back on your wedding day you're going to want to reminisce with all of your greatest girls, make sure you decide on those who will still hold such important roles even years later.

5) In the midst of all the planning, picking, choosing, and such, it is imperative to remember one thing and one thing only: it is your day! Whatever you decide will eventually be understood, so select who you want and who you feel to be right for your big day.

There are no right or wrong answers when putting together your bridal party, it's simply all about you picking your nearest and dearest to be such a big part of your nuptials. Once you have decided on this, you can sit back and enjoy planning your wedding surrounded by the ladies who mean most to you!
